Who Do You Say Am I

VERSE
As He came with His disciples, unto the coast of Caesarea Philippi
Jesus turned and asked them “Tell me, who do men say am I?”
They said, “Some say John the Baptist, Elias, and the prophet Jeremiah”
But Jesus just looked at them and asked, “But who do you say am I?”

CHORUS
And Peter cried “Thou are the Christ, Son of the Living God”,
Revealed unto him, by his Father up above
His heart was wide open and so were his eyes
Because of his faith Peter’s answer was right
When Jesus asked, “Who do you say am I?”

VERSE
Now the world is quite a different place today, than it was back then
But the need for Christ is greater now, than it’s ever been
Put yourself in Peter’s shoes; imagine Jesus looking in your eyes
How would you respond when he asks, “Who do you say am I?”

CHORUS
Would you cry, “Thou art the Christ, Son of the Living God
Master of my life, wash in his blood”.
Has His love filled your heart, has He opened your eyes
Or is He a stranger you don’t recognize
Tell me what would you say, would your answer be right,
When Jesus asks, “Who do you say am I?”

BRIDGE
One day in judgment we must stand before him (we must stand before him)
If we don’t know Him now, He won’t know us then, He won’t know us then

INSTRUMENTAL

TAG & OUTRO
Oh let His love fill your heart, let him open your eyes
So He’s not some stranger you won’t recognize
Make sure today your answer is right
When Jesus asks, “Who do you say am I”? (Ad-lib to the end)
